In 1977, at the age of 13, Buttz co-formed Cornwall's first Punk band 'The System'. After leaving Poltair school in St Austell he moved to London & opened a shop in Carnaby St, opened a legendary nightclub 'Buttz'n'Spike's' in Soho meeting the pop stars of the day. Upset by the state of the British music industry in the early 80's,... he formed the UK's 'Best/worst' band in the whole World,... 'The Babysitters', whose antics shocked a generation of the London Soho Rock scene.
These stories have been recently re-captured in the new movie 'Livin'Out Rock'n'Roll', a film by Paolo Sedazarri.
After several major tours with the likes of Hawkwind, Johnny Thunders & Hanoi Rocks, Buttz went on to front another band 'Last of the Teenage Idols' again delivering front page headlines in the music press.
Buttz's passion for filming was almost equal to his love for music. He now films full time on a freelance basis (and has done so for the past 10 years), many of his features have been aired on Sky TV.
He also won the "Best Videographer" Award from Cornish Brides.
His recent "Rebellion - A Punk Movie" filmed over 3 years at the Blackpool Rebellion Festival has been received with great acclaim and received great reviews in the music press.
